Derive Design works closely with hospitality developers, owners and operators from concept
through completion. For new destinations, rebrands, remodels or repositions we will contribute
a complete and cohesive design vision. Services are tailored to each project and can include
fixtures, finishes, decorative lighting, custom case goods and furnishings, carpet design, decor
and art curation. We work on a range of project types from large to small - a bistro or cafe to a
complete hotel.
Our name, Derive Design, represents our passion for doing a creative deep dive into a concept,
style, or era. We mine it for possibilities, iconic features and influences then filter it through our
own aesthetic lens. This gives our projects an authentic story and sense of place, resulting in a
uniquely curated space featuring one-of-a-kind finishes and furnishings.
Commercial Design
Multi-Family Housing
For developers and investors of tenant improvement and new construction projects, we will create
a cohesive look and feel from concept development, through fixture and finish packages, to public
space furnishings and art curation. Our scope can include amenities, public space and rooftops as
well as exterior finishes palette, including presentation sample boards to facilitate pre-sales.
Model Units and Sales Centers for Multi-family housing
We design model units that are on brand, target the intended demographic, show a space to the best advantage and photograph beautifully. We work in all styles and price points, and we can handle both
the procurement, installation and photo styling.
Retail Design
Our scope can include renovation, upgrades and complete interior concept development for a variety
of businesses such as coffee shops, bakeries, salons and spas. We can work within or help establish
brand identity.
Residential Design
Builders
For spec homes, investment property improvements, flips and small scale developments, we work
in a range of styles and budgets to create unique spaces that are memorable to potential buyers.
Fees, scope and deliverables are flexible and tailored to each project.
Design for Property Sales
Derive Design is well versed in creating strategic, cosmetic improvement plans for properties about
to go to market. This can include paint, carpet, finishes, fixture and hardware upgrades, kitchen and
bath remodels, and improving curb appeal. With a sensitivity to budget, we will provide expedient
solutions that can lead to reduced market time, broader appeal and increased selling price.
Residential Interiors & Remodels
We design living environments that reflect our client's individuality and function to meet their needs.
We begin by understanding the goals, scope of work, timeline and budget. Our projects range from
one time consultations to whole house remodels. While most projects are on a bid basis, hourly
consultation is also available. Coordination with other consultants, architects and trades are scheduled
as needed.
